Crowdy

Crowdy is a user-based crowdedness meter helping students to hangout in peace.

The project

Since 2020, the world has been heavily hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Belgium is no exception. Because of the government measures to mitigate the spread of the virus, students have been under lockdown most of the school year.

Crowdy comes from the eagerness to participate in collective efforts, and relieve students from the mental burden of isolation while following the sanitary measures. aims at offering a tool to students to know beforehand where to find the least crowded meeting place in Ghent, a student city. Crowdy demonstrates that having a social life as a student and respecting the restrictions is possible.

The goal

Crowdy’s primary goal is to let students know how crowded a place is before actually meeting there. also kills two birds with one stone since it provides a solution to overcrowded hotspots and allow large groups to spread all around town. Crowdy is the perfect tool for students to hang out in peace.
